PET sheets have obvious advantages such as non fading, non discoloration, pressure resistance, impact resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and easy cleaning. Modification of PET sheets:
1. PET sheets can be modified for flowability:
The blending of UHMWPE and LCP greatly improves flowability and can be processed using a single screw extruder; The more LCP added, the better the fluidity of the mixture.
UHMWPE is blended with PE, with a PE content of less than 30% to ensure that the blend has good processing performance and does not reduce excessive excellent performance;
Add 10% or less polyethylene wax, stearate, and other additives to UHMWPE; When 3-5% layered nanosilicates are added to UHMWPE, the melt flow index can reach 0.2~0.4g/10min Adding 1% fumed silica UHMWPE can serve as a nucleating agent for polyethylene and improve its flowability.
Secondly, PET sheets can be modified to improve wear resistance:
After coupling, adding molybdenum disulfide, graphite, ultrafine carbon black, ultrafine glass beads, carbon fiber, and polytetrafluoroethylene can reduce the friction coefficient and improve wear resistance. Add rubber, polyurethane, etc. It will increase the coefficient of friction.
Thirdly, the heat resistance of PET sheets can be modified:
After plasma crosslinking treatment, the usage temperature of UHMWPE can be increased to 200 ℃. Coupled inorganic fillers (such as glass beads, wollastonite, talc powder, mica, calcium carbonate, etc.) are filled with UHMWPE It can significantly increase the thermal deformation temperature of HDT.
Fourthly, the thermal conductivity of PET sheets can be changed:
Adding copper powder, aluminum powder, and lead powder can improve the thermal conductivity of UHMWPE.
Fifth, PET sheets can be mechanically modified:
Filling with glass fiber, carbon fiber, ultrafine glass beads, talc powder, mica, calcium carbonate, kaolin, acicular wollastonite, alumina, and silica can improve the strength, hardness, and stiffness of UHMWPE.
