PVC sheet is an extruded sheet with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) as the main material. The surface of the plate is smooth and flat, the cross-section is honeycomb-shaped, light weight, high strength and good weather resistance. It can partially replace wood and steel. It is suitable for engraving, opening, painting, bonding and other processes. It is not only widely used in the advertising industry, but also widely used in decoration, furniture and other fields.

The most commonly used color for PVC panels is white. Of course, there are also colored plates, but they are used less in actual production. If the finished product needs to be made into a colored one, it can be painted.

Under the same thickness, high-quality PVC sheet has high strength, hard surface, not easy to bend, not easy to scratch, not easy to fall ash, and will not turn yellow (white PVC) after long-term use. Inferior PVC board material is loose, low hardness, uneven surface, some sections even have bubble-like lines.

Common processes and applications of PVC sheets

Although PVC board has a wide range of uses, its processing process is only a few, here is a brief introduction.

1. Engraving

Engraving is a common and widely used processing method for PVC sheets. PVC engraving generally adopts mechanical engraving, and less often laser engraving.

Take the production of PVC fonts as an example: after the PVC font is engraved, the fine particles on the surface of the font need to be blown off with a blower (or air compressor) and then polished.

If the carved PVC products need to be painted, you need to count the PVC words, place them neatly, and then paint them to ensure that the paint color of the finished PVC products is uniform.

Once the PVC word is completed, it is ready to be used. In addition, you can also use special acrylic glue on its surface to fit a layer of two-color slab or acrylic to increase its texture. Of course, multi-layer PVC overlays can also be used to make PVC products with larger thicknesses and more complex processes.

2. Installation

After the PVC board is cut, the impurities on the surface are removed, and then a layer of adhesive painting is pasted on the surface of the PVC with a film applicator to make a PVC drawing board. The quality of the artboards is good. Compared to KT plate, it is thicker and more durable.

Disadvantages of PVC sheet

Although PVC board has many advantages, it also has disadvantages.

Although PVC board has a certain strength, it is still too brittle, low in strength and weak in bearing capacity compared with some commonly used wood. So if you want to make furniture out of PVC panels, you can only do some simple little things, such as all kinds of decoration. If it's bigger, it's easy to disintegrate. It is also easy to break under pressure.

In addition, the nail grasping ability of PVC board is not strong. The same nails, nailed to wood, can be very strong, but if nailed to PVC boards, the nails can easily loosen and fall off.

Compared to acrylic related products, PVC products are also more difficult to clean when filled with dust.

The price of PVC
