PET coil is a rubber asphalt adhesive material with aluminized polyester film as a surface enhancer and active additive. During PET coil construction, polymer cement mortar can be directly pasted (wet paving method) or used according to the traditional construction process (dry paving method), which can meet the construction needs of different projects. It is especially suitable for waterproof engineering design with more intermittent construction. When the coil is exposed to the outside for a long time after construction, it can reduce the folding and bulging phenomenon after the PET coil is paved.

Construction process of PET coil:

Cleaning the base layer - → Moisturizing the base layer (this process is not required if the base layer is wet) - → Positioning and capturing lines - → Mixing and paving grout - → Paving membrane - → Exhaust and ventilation - → Lap edge sealing - → Coil finishing and sealing - → Acceptance

Construction method of PET coil:

1. Clean up the dust and debris on the substrate surface, and sprinkle water on the dry substrate surface in advance;

2. The reference line should be bounced on the base layer to determine the position of the PET waterproofing membrane. According to the flatness of the base layer on site, determine the thickness of cement slurry paving, generally 1~3mm. Apply grout in the membrane paving range (the range should not be too large, paving when plastering);

3. Remove the separator film on the lower surface of the PET waterproofing membrane, and spread the PET waterproofing membrane on the freshly laid cement slurry;

4. After one coil is laid, pour cement slurry, then lay two coils, and so on;

5. Press the surface of the membrane with a trowel or rubber sheet, lift the slurry, discharge the air under the surface of the membrane, and make the membrane fit closely with the cement slurry;

6. According to the site situation, lap jointing can be carried out when the laying coil or cement slurry has sufficient strength. When lapping, lift the release film at the lap joint of the lower coil, and paste the upper coil on the lower coil, and the width of the coil lap is not less than 80mm;

7. After the coil is laid, the coil end and winding part can be sealed with sealing paste.

Methods per node:

1. The method of attaching layers at the yin and yang corners is as follows. The total width of the additional layer is 500mm, 250mm on each side.

2. This atlas requires 150mm for paving and topping the exterior wall of the basement. Considering the staggered seams, the length of the stubble is determined to be 500mm.

Precautions for PET rolls:

1. It is necessary to apply the oil-based treatment agent, and the non-curing liquid rubber waterproof coating can be applied after the oil-based treatment agent is completely dry.

2. Construction operations can only be carried out when the non-curing rubber bitumen waterproof coating melts into a liquid state and reaches the specified hot use temperature.

3. While scraping the non-curing rubber bitumen waterproof coating, roll up the PET self-adhesive membrane waterproof membrane and pay attention to the bonding effect of the lap edge of the coil.

4. Before the construction of the waterproof layer, all kinds of pipelines and embedded parts need to be installed and fixed to avoid drilling holes after the construction of the waterproof layer, damaging the waterproof layer and leaving hidden dangers of leakage.

5. When laying wide PET waterproofing membrane, the sealing place of the membrane should be temporarily sealed (sealed with tape or thickened cement mortar) to prevent the rapid loss of moisture at the end of the standing wall.

6. The short-side seams of the adjacent two rows of coils should be staggered by more than 1/3 of the width, and one side of the multi-layer seam should overlap, resulting in uneven tape of the coil.

7. When using the wide PET coil on the side wall, appropriate fixing measures can be taken at the corners.

8. If the membrane is contaminated during construction, the membrane should be cleaned with a clean damp cloth.
